Do: Make a booklet for the story called “The Map”. Let your child practice reading the story to you. Add these Sight words to your list: it, and. Once again, please send in the old stories in a Zip-lock bag for your child to practice reading at home and in school.

For pg. 88, use pencil to write 2 to 3 sentences about the story. Keep studying all Sight Words. Some of us need more practice.

Also, practice counting out of order. Ex.45 then 89 etc. Count using the calendar to tell the date and day. Let your child tell you what is the date not counting by 1. Ex. Today is Thursday, November 16,2023.

Please keep practicing the concept of how much more do you add to get to 5?  Ex. you have 4 cubes and how much more to get to 5? (4+1=5), 3 cookies and you need how much to get to 5? (3+2=5) etc. Let your child answer the question in complete sentences.

Keep practicing with your child to identify the beginning sound and ending sound of various words. Ex. hat= h is beginning sound and t for ending sound.

Practice reading stories from the booklets that you have in your Zip-lock bag.

Mrs. De Luca has asked the teachers to remind the parents to come with their child tonight for the special music by The Koinonia group. They will be performing in English, Spanish and Italian, Any child that comes with their parent can get a Nut card that they can use next year. A Nut card means they can dress down for that day instead of their uniform. 

Please remember that the children can dress in costume for Halloween. However, Mrs.DeLuca has asked the teachers to remind the parents, no mask or weapons allowed.

Do: Reading pg. 79 both sides of the pg. Color all pictures. Use pencil to trace the letter i.  Just write /i/ for the picture that begins with/i/.

For the pg. 80. Write 2 or 3 sentences about the story. Use pencil to write the sentences.

Friday is a half a day. It is Report Card Day. Dismissal will be at 12:15 p.m.  There is no After- School.

 Gym is tomorrow. Sneakers are needed.

If anyone wants to retake their picture. Retakes are on December 14.
